Bravo for Brava

This is Brava Lingerie, located at 487 High St in Prahan, Melbourne.  I went there today, in order to help a family friend, let's call her Clara*, to find some bars in her size.  It was such a fulfilling experience for me and I really hope that it was for her too!
Clara had been feeling like there wasn't much out there for her in the way of bras and I felt determined that I should help change that for her.  I called Lin at Brava, knowing that they specialise in fuller figured lingerie ranging from a 6-22 back size and a D-K cup size...

 

Clara has been wearing a 10G up until today, but felt that perhaps she needed the next size up.  As all women, Clara has one breast bigger than the other and she wanted bras that were going to help conceal the difference.  I am so glad that we went to Brava.  The service was exceptional, all the staff were kind and chatty, not at all over-bearing.  Lin, who was helping us, knew her products inside and out and was a wealth of knowledge.  I was not familiar with many of the brands that they have there, but she tried Clara in a wide variety of bras and all of them were lovely!

This is a bra called 'Tango" by Panache and it was probably my favourite bra that Clara tried on!  The lighting in the fitting room was not great for taking pictures, but let me tell you, it made such a nice change from fitting rooms with harsh lighting, and it made the experience much more comfortable for the customer!  This bra is a 10GG, just one cup size up from what Clara had previously been wearing, and Lin informed us that GG stands for 'Double Georgeous", which I loved!

This bra was my other favourite, it's called 'Polyanna', by Freya.  I love that the bras they have here are pretty, but also practical.  Why should anyone have to suffer because they have a small or full bust?

Brava stocks other brands such as Freya, Fantasie, Chantelle, Curvy Kate and also one of Oprah's favourites, Le Mystere.  Most of the brands they stock come from the UK and it's definitely worth a mention that they have a wide selection of sports, maternity and strapless bras.  

 Not to mention the swimwear...!

I was overcome by good feelings in this boutique, and I know that Clara felt really well taken care of by the ladies in the store.  It's Brava's fourth Birthday this week, and I would like to offer them a huge Congratulations and Happy Birthday!
