These days everything is about going local. We're all trying to reduce our carbon footprints and limit our damage to the planet, so I see no reason why we shouldn't support brands and labels that are homegrown also. If you want to get your fruit and vegies as close to your home as possible, why not have the same mentality when it comes to your underwear?
Instead of going online and buying Victoria's Secret (which I agree is beautiful and lovely, but also super risky buying a bra online and expecting it to fit! sorry, it just doesn't work that way, bras really need to be tried on) why not head to your local shops and support the brands and the staff that they have provided for you? Between MYER and David Jones alone, you have so much to choose from, it would be upwards of 30 different labels. You have Elle Macpherson, Berlei, Pleasure State, triumph, Fayreform, Calvin Klein, Lovable, Dimity So, Simone Perele, the list goes on and on.
Some of the stores I recommend around Melbourne are of course the MYER and David Jones stores. They can be found in the city, Bourke St Mall and most major shopping centres, The Calvin Klein store on the ground floor in Melbourne Central. I recommend Brava Lingerie on High St in Prahan for D cup and up fittings and any of the Bendon Lingerie Stores (retail or outlet stores) which can be found on Chapel St, Prahan, Doncastor Shoppingtown, and clarendon st South Melbourne (retail) and Smith St Fitzroy, Bridge Rd Richmond and most Direct Factory Outlets (outlet stores).
You might even have a local lingerie boutique where they design and make the garments locally or on site, and that is even better again. But what I am getting at is just make things easier for yourself. Go with labels and brands that are easily accessible to you. By that I mean, easy for you to see regularly, to familiarise yourself with and easy for you to be able to try it on.
